~0bit~Tena Mae Leatherman, daughter of John and Matilda Jane Leatherman, was born near Troy Mills March 23, 1872 and lived in that vicinity all of her lfie. At the age of fourteen years, she confessed her faith in Christ and united with the Christian church at Troy Mills, remaining a faithful christian until called from this life by the one beyond. On March 27, 1889, she was united in marriage to Winfield Scott Price. To this union eight children were born, three preceding her in death in infancy. Those remaining are Harry Bufford Price of Cedar Rapids; William Lowell Price, Mrs. Eunice Ellen Price Wilson and Gilbert John Price of Walker and Harlin Winfield Price at home. After being in failing health for several years she quietly fell asleep on September 8, 1925, at st. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, after a life of 53 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was a patient sufferer, a kind friend to all, a loving mother, one who delighted in the work of her Master'. Although hindered by failing health from attending services she lived a life that may be an example and inspiritation to all that knew her. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, five children, four grandchildren, Kenneth and Bertha Price of Cedar Rapids, Ella Mae and Kathleen Wilson of Walker, 1 sister Mrs. Mary Belle Price and one brother, Daniel Leatherman, both of Cedar Rapids, besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Troy Mills, conducted by Rev. John McKee of 0ttumwa.
