William, Doug to most, died Feb. 7 at his home in his sleep. He was born on January 8, 1953 at Camp Hanford, Richland, WA. He was raised in the Tri-Cities and attended Kennewick High School until he graduated in 1972. Doug then was wed to wife Nancy in 1977 and together they had and raised two children, William Jr., and Jennifer. Doug resided in Kennewick until his death.

Doug was a caring man who had many friends and would do anything for them. Things he enjoyed doing ranged from playing pool to helping The Boy Scouts with their annual fertilizer sale to following just about any sport imaginable. When spring cam around and the horse races came to town he was a fixture at the race track serving his famous salads, beers, and home made beef jerky. He also enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friends as well as making homemade salsa. Everybody was welcome in his home. He is survived by his wife Nancy of 24 years and two children William and Jennifer; mother Bonnie Meier; Father Don Osborn; his brothers: Blake Osborn and his wife Colleen; Carl Osborn; his sisters: Cindy Faith; Kelly Osborn' Sherrie Ashley and her husband Clyde; Candy and her husband Steve; as well as many other family members including many nieces and nephews; and also his many friends. He was preceded in death by his very special loving grandmother Suzzanne Soper and his birth father Carl Henderson.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, Feb, 12, 2002, at the Kennewick First United Methodist Church, 2 South Dayton Street, Kennewick, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Benton Franklin Head Start where his wife Nancy is a long-time employee, or by supporting The Boy Scouts of America Troop 179.
