Mr Lewis Edward Layman, 72, of Cloverdale, died Monday in a Roanoke hospital, after a brief illness.
He is survived by the following children: C M Layman, Martinsville; L Ray, G N. And O R Layman, Roanoke; A E., J Paul and Robert Layman, Cloverdale, and two sisters, Miss Virginia Layman, Roanoke, and Mrs Nannie Doll, Quicksburg.
Funeral services were held at the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev M G Wilson, assisted by the Rev John Crumpacker. Burial was in Daleville cemetery.
Pallbearers were: J W Sanderson, N C Layman, J G Kinzie, J W Layman, E I Hessong and M Prickett.
