Mr. Vierling was born March 26, 1897 at Batesville, the son of Matthew and Elizabeth Yeager Vierling. The family moved to Jackson county in 1910. He was married Nov. 6, 1918, at Batesville, to Marie Rinehart, who survives.
Mr. Vierling was a member of St. Ambrose here. He was a mechanic for Williams Auto Supply Co., here for 42 years. He also was a member of Eagles Lodge 655, Seymour.
Surviving in addition to the widow are two sons, Donald of Seymour and Lynn of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Kelsey, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two brothers, Edward of Batesville and Anthony of Shelbyville; a sister, Mrs. Cora Seng of Cincinnati, Ohio and eight grandchildren. A son, Arnold, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
