Mrs. Blythe was born in Humeston, IA, on July 25, 1910, daughter of Thomas and Maude (nee Abel) Coffey. She was retired from Hi-Flier Kite Co. and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She married Carl E. Winter in 1927. He died in 1960. She married George Blythe in 1962. He died in 1978.
Surviving are her daughters-in-law, Marilyn Winter of Mount Zion; Leah Winter of Cedar Rapids, IA; brothers, Kenneth Coffey of Stonington; Jack Coffey of Elmhurst; sister, Erma Coffey of Decatur; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Eloise Margaret Buckley of Decatur.
Her parents, husbands, two sons, James and Donald Winter, one brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
