OBITUARY FOR:
HAROLD BERGESON

Harold Bergeson, 94, of Colona, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Colona United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.

Harold was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Deer Creek, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Helga Watney Bergeson. He married Carolyn Ann Limpert on July 3, 1938, in Albert Lea, Minn.

Harold retired from Farmall Plant of International Harvester Co. in 1980. He also retired from farming in the Geneseo and Colona area. After his retirement, Harold enjoyed raising horses.

Survivors include his children, Frank Bergeson, Geneseo, Jim (Mary Ann) Bergeson, Sun Rise Beach, Mo., Marlys (Robert) Vermeiere, Geneseo, Beverly (Jerry) Stanton, Derby, Kan., Kevin Bergeson, Colona; daughter-in-law, Grace Bergeson, Geneseo; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Art (Marian) Bergeson, Albert Lea; sisters, Gertie Sorenson and Olga Johnson, both of Albert Lea, and Sally Barb, Huntington, Ind.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Albert and Leonard; grandson, Jeffrey; great-grandson, Timothy Bergeson; and brothers, Joseph and Howard.
