William Robert Garrison died at his home near Graveley Gap Friday after a short illness. He had been in ill health for some time. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ellen Chastain, one son, Sam; two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Collis and Mrs. Arthur Stepp, all of Fannin County. Three sisters, Mrs. John Lively of Cleveland; Mrs. Drew Holden of Benton and Miss Ida Mae Garrison, Dalton. Funeral services were held from the Mr. Moriah Baptist Church and interment was in the church cemetery.

Note: Ida was from a 2nd marriage to Elizabeth McDaniels.
