W. T. Walker of Walkers Station died at 9:15 Tuesday evening at the Orangeburg hospital, where he had been taken that afternoon. He was stricken with influenza about ten days ago and that with complications caused his death. Mr. Walker was born December 19, 1855, and spent his life on the farm at Walkers Station. He united with Healing Springs Baptist church early in life and was a deacon in that church at this death. He was married in 1878 to Miss Lessie Mims, who, with the following, survive: Mrs. J. T. Hunter of Orangeburg, W. P. Walker of Perry, Fla., Edith, Leila Mims and Missouri Walker of Blackville. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock this morning at his home.
