OBITUARY
The Rochester Sentinel

Wednesday, May 22, 1929

Orville KINDIG, aged 73, a carpenter and for many years a resident of the Athens community, died at 8:30 Wednesday morning at the County Infirmary where he had been for the past six weeks. Death was due to complications of diseases incident to advanced years. Funeral arrangements have not been made.


NOTE: Francis Orville Kindig, son of Charles & Ellen "Eleanor" (Allen) Kindig, m. Alfaretta Nye, b. near Akron to Jonas & Leah Nye. Their children were: Estill b.1879; John b.1887; Vernon b.1896, m.1920 Geneva Personette, and had children: Robert, Helen and Margalee; Thor(n)ton C., b.1885; Tressa (Mrs. L. W. Richardson) of Everett, Washington; Gladys (Mrs. Justin Hall) of Rochester, Ind; Lola (Mrs. Wideman) of Akron.
Obit (Mrs. Alfaretta Kindig) names her surviving children, and brothers: Grant Nye, South Bend, and Schuyler Nye, Marion.
