Charles Etheridge Coppage, 55, of Ridgeland, S.C., died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at Beaufort Regional Hospital in Beaufort, S.C. He was born in Lowndes County on April 2, 1954, and had lived in Ridgeland for the past 23 years. Mr. Coppage was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Coppage; his daughter, Stephanie Coppage; his son, Charles Coppage Jr.; his grandson, Caleb Burson, all of Ridgeland, S.C.; his parents, Etheridge and Gloria Coppage of Valdosta; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Watford of Covington, Randy Watford, Andy and Deborah Watford, all of Valdosta, Paul and Jan Wilson of Lake Park; his sister, Teresa Carver of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlie Faye Taylor Coppage; and a sister, Charlene Coppage Boutwell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
