He was born in Newburn, Texas and died in Shelby County, Texas. James Hershel Doster enlisted in the Army during WW II on December 30,1942 at Tyler, Texas. At the time of his death, he was married to Edith. His occupation was that of a carpenter.
LaVada married Johnny Elmo Teas who was born March 22, 1921 in Marrilton, Arkansas, and died July 20, 2000 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Johnny lived in Alaska before 1951. His parents were, John F. Teas and Mary E. Teas. His body was creamated.
LaVada's children: Carolyn Ferro and husband William of Nacogdoches, Texas, Jeffrey Doster and Jimmy Doster.
LaVada worked for many years as a certified nurse's aide. She was of the Baptist faith.
