LAVADA MAE WALLACE TEAS

LaVada Mae Wallace was born September 14, 1928 in Shelby County, Texas to Frank Wallace and Flossie Mae Pate. She died October 3, 2008 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

LaVada had 7 siblings, Marguerite, Georgia Marquette, Jesse Franklin, Benjamin Doyle, Joe Neal, Mary Sue, and Marsha Lou Wallace.

LaVada was raised in a very happy family, that loved to have fun.

LaVada married James Hershel Doster May 15, 1946 in Texas. They divorced August 18, 1969 in Harris County, Texas. James Hershel Doster was the son of J.O. Doster and Ethel Wicker. He was born in Newburn, Texas and died in Shelby County, Texas. James Hershel Doster enlisted in the Army during WW II on December 30,1942 at Tyler, Texas. At the time of his death, he was married to Edith. His occupation was that of a carpenter.

LaVada married Johnny Elmo Teas who was born March 22, 1921 in Marrilton, Arkansas, and died July 20, 2000 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Johnny lived in Alaska before 1951. His parents were, John F. Teas and Mary E. Teas. His body was creamated.

LaVada's children: Carolyn Ferro and husband William of Nacogdoches, Texas, Jeffrey Doster and Jimmy Doster.

LaVada worked for many years as a certified nurse's aide. She was of the Baptist faith.
