Ellen Permelia (or Ellen Priscilla?) Burnett was the daughter of John Burnett (1799-1865) and Sarah (last name unknown) (1797-1865).

Ellen married Philo Rothrock (1821-1904) on 13 Sep 1840 at Crawford County, Indiana. Ellen and Philo were the parents of nine known children, five girls and four boys, namely:

1. Mary Rothrock (1841-1841)
2. Solomon Rothrock (1842-1862)
3. Emily Ann Rothrock White (1844-1923)
4. Martha Jane Rothrock Flanigan (1846-1931)
5. Lydia Rothrock Rankin (1849-1913)
6. Sarah C. Rothrock (1851-1903)
7. John Amos Rothrock (1853-1925)
8. William Henry Rothrock (1855-1938)
9. George Luther Rothrock (1858-1948)
