I stayed with her briefly after my mother was killed in a car accident but never had much contact with her after that. I believe she died from some form of cancer, maybe bone cancer, but I am not sure.

Graveside services for Mrs Myrtle Armstrong Grantham,66 of Blue Springs, were held Thursday March 17,1988 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton.
Mrs. Grantham died Tuesday March 15, 1988 at Dale County Hospital in Ozark.
Born January 19, 1922 in Barbour County, she was the daughter of the late Burton J. and Pastola Tew Armstrong.She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sawanee G. Walden, Walls,MS; one son Donnie Ray Grantham, Blue Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Houston, Pace, FL; and Mrs. Connie Childs, Clayton,one brother W.W. Armstrong, Northport; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
