Myrtle was my grandmother, my father's mother.Although I was already a grown woman when she died, I do not remember much about her. I do know that she grew up around the Eufula & Clayton Alabama area. She was married to Louis J Grantham, who was also from that area. They had two children my father Donald Raymond Grantham and a daughter, Sawanee Grantham.
I stayed with her briefly after my mother was killed in a car accident but never had much contact with her after that. I believe she died from some form of cancer, maybe bone cancer, but I am not sure.
