Joey Matilda Overson Bennett, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 17, 2006. Born June 12, 1919 in Leamington, UT, the second of six children to Lyman and Harriet Alida Overson. Married Clemont "Mont" Bennett, Nov. 3, 1941 in Sparks, NV. Marriage solemnized in Manti Temple, June 27, 1958. They lived a year in Delta, then on a farm in Sutherland, UT from '42-'04. Worked hard her whole life, employed at Duke Manufacturing Sewing Plant. Loved sewing, crocheting, puzzles, and to grow a beautiful garden. Loved the gospel and had a strong testimony, loved her church callings and stated that her life would be meaningless without faith and spiritual food. Held positions in primary and then Ward Librarian for many years. Preceded in death by three precious baby boys; brother: Grant Overson; sisters: Gladys Montoya and Gertrude LeCheminant. Survived by husband: Clemont Bennett; son: Grant (Doris) Bennett; daughter: Jolyn (Stephen) Beagley, all of Delta; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers: Warren Overson, West Valley City; Jay Overson, Ceder City. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Services: Saturday, Dec. 23, 2 p.m., Delta 4th Ward, 300 West 200 S. Friends call Friday, Dec. 22 at Nickle Mortuary, 7-8 p.m., and Saturday at church, 12:30-1:45 p.m. Burial Delta Cemetery.
