Mrs. Mitchell is survived by one daughter, Novice Treadwell, Roanoke; sons, Jimmy Mitchell, Woodland, Thermon Mitchell, Austell, GA and Roger D. Mitchell, Phenix City; sisters, Opal Johnson, Morrison Crossroads, Estelle Lynch, Warner Robins, GA; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Bell Mitchell, Jason Mitchel, Kenny Mitchell, Jamie Treadwell, Larry Traylor and Johnathan Gilliland.
Mrs. Mitchell was born Dec. 14, 1919, the daughter of James Jasper and Lizzie Mitchell Smith. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and had been a lunchroom worker for Randolph County High School. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Byron A. Mitchell; her parents; brother, Wheeler Smith; and three great-grandchildren.
