Henry Bernard Eilts, 67, lifetime resident of this community died at the Mayo hospital atRochester, Minn. Tuesday evening following surgery. Deceased was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hillert Eilts on a farm in Reading township October 9, 1890 and was reared in this community. On March 10, 1926 he was married to Miss Irene Bertram. To this union, five children were born. A son Vernon died in infancy. Remaining are one son, LJoyd of Ireton, and three daughters: Mrs. Delma Wilmer Vreeman, Mrs. Ruth Alvin Vander Berg, both of Ireton, and Mrs. Helen Nitzschke of Albuquerque, N.M. There are ten grandchildren; 3 brothers and 3 sisters remaining are Reiney and William of LeMars • and George ofSpencer, S.D., Mrs. William Meppens of Idaho Falls, Id., Mrs. Henry Brabender, LeMars, Mrs. John Peters, Cherokee.Funeral services were held Saturday aftrenoon at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul Fredericks in charge. Casketbearers included nephews of the deceased. Lawrence Eilts, Marlin Eilts, Walter Peters, Leon DeRaad, Henry Ramhorst,and Louis Borchers. Deceased was a well known stockman and farmer and lived for many years on the farm nowoperated by his son Lloyd one half mile north of Ireton.
