Affectionately known as "Grannie Scott" by her family, she was a hard-working woman who lived in a time when few life comforts existed. She was married to Joel Ernest Scott and was the mother of 6 children: John R. Scott, Pearl S. Tucker, Jewell Ernest Scott, Carroll Scott, Cosma Ann Scott & Bernice Dewey. Cosma Ann died at birth. Jewell Ernest died of strep throat at age 11.
