Robert Owen Kennedy, Sr., age 78, Danville, died October 28 in the Danville Nursing Home. Services were October 31 in the Porter Funeral Home at North Salem. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Born March 26, 1905 in Hendricks County, he was a son of Homer and Eugenia (Dowden) Kennedy. He graduated from Lizton High School in 1925. Mr. Kennedy was a retired auto salesman. He had also previously worked for Anchor Motor
Freight, Costin Buick and Dugan Chevrolet. He was a member of the Montclair Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Dick and Robert O. Jr., both of Lizton; two step-daughters, Mary Weingartin of Baltimore, Maryland and Betty Nixon of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister, Marie (Kennedy) Russell of Danville, preceded. Mrs. Robert (Roberta)Miller and James Russell, both of Danville, are a niece and nephew. Also surviving is a very close friend, Pearl Taylor of Danville.
