He was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Lorain and was a lifelong resident of the city.

He attended Bowling Green University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the rank of sergeant in the 443rd Military Police Prisoner-of-War Processing Company. He was in combat in Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes and the Rhineland and received the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with four bronze stars and Good Conduct Medal with three overseas service bars.

Brady retired in 1984 as a machinist for B.F. Goodrich after 20 years' service.

He maintained a backyard wild bird habitat and enjoyed the birds that lived there. He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife Betty Jane (nee Bumke); daughter, Susan Haas of Louisville, Ky.; sons Kenneth Brady of Houston, Texas, Daniel Brady of Sheffield Lake and Edward Brady of Milford; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James and Freda Marie (nee Esterle) Brady; and sister, June Fisher.

Services and burial were private.
