Patricia Ann Sechrest Hancock

MADISON HEIGHTS Patricia Ann Sechrest Hancock, 59, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of Donald Ray Hancock.

Born May 14, 1951, in High Point, N.C., she was a daughter of Doris Osborn Sechrest, of Madison Heights, and the late Frederick Allen Sechrest. She was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Amherst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Pastor Dave Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 11, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Amherst, VA 24521, or the American Cancer Society .
