WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Wanda Elaine Rule Mabe passed away Thursday evening, November 11, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on July 14, 1950. Wanda worked diligently and faithfully to provide a nurturing Christian home for her family and to be a light of the Lord to all she knew. Wanda worked with U.S. Airways as a flight attendant. She is preceded in death by husband, David Franklin Mabe; and father, William Howard Rule. She is survived by two sons, Ken Mabe (Hope) and Andy Mabe; two grandchildren, Kyla, and McKinley; mother, Dorothy McGee Rule; two sisters, Karen McKee (Mark) and Shirley Epperly; one brother, Dr. William Stanley Rule (Penny) of Beaufort, NC. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association 122 North Elm Street, Suite 800, Greensboro, NC 27401.
