News has reached us of the death of Mr. J. M. Murrah, long resident of the Sweetwater section of Edgefield county near Aiken, who passed away on July 30th in Columbia, aged 82 years.
Mr. Murrah was a gallant soldier of the Confederacy and was well known to members of Camp Barnard E. Bee.
He is survived by two daughters, L. V. Whatley of Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Anna Ford of North Augusta.
He also leaves one son, Mr. G. M. Murrah of Trenton.
Burial look place at Sweetwater Church.
