Oden (Jay) Barger
Oden (Jay) BARGER, former Rochester resident, died Monday evening at Fort Myers, Fla., after an extended illness. Mr. Barger formerly owned and operated the Barger Plumbing and Heating business here. Surviving are the wife, Linda [BARGER]; a son, James [BARGER], and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Olga United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, Fla., for Oden J. "Jay" BARGER, 71, native of Rochester who died Monday at 10:10 p.m. in Palms of Pasadena Hospital at St. Petersb urg, Fla. Cremation will follow.
Death was due to emphysema and came after an illness of three years.
Mr. Barger had resided in Florida since 1979, at 13938 Granada Way S.E., Fort Myers 33905, moving there after six years' residence in Austin, Texas.
He was born in this city Dec. 13, 1912, the son of Guy and Irene BARGER and graduated from Rocheter High School. His marriage was May 1, 1943, in Indianapolis to Linda M. SHELBY, who survives.
From 1955 to 1973 he owned and operated the Barger Plumbing and Heating firm, founded by his father and located on the southwest shore of Lake Manitou. He was a member of the Manitou Moose Lodge and a founder of the Lake Manitou Yacht Club.
Also surviving are a son, James BARGER, St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Virginia KEEL, Fort Myers, Fla., and two grandchildren, Benjamin Oden and Jennifer Lynn BARGER.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
