Elmer E. Willis, 81, died Friday at 7 P.M. at his home, Deets Ave and S Eight St., following an illness lasting 13 weeks. He had been in failing health the pat seven years.

A former tin mill and pottery worker, Mr. Willis was born on July 6, 1861 in Center Township, a son of William and Eveline Gibson Willis, and was united in marriage on Jan 1, 1890 to Minnie J. Booth, who survives. He was a member of the First United U.P. Church.

Surviving are one son, Kirby R., of the home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Callihan, Cuyahoga Falls, O., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.


The body was returned Saturday afternoon to the home from Stevens and McCracken Funeral Home, S. Eight Street., and funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 P.M. at the home by Rev. C.K. McGeorge, pastor of the First U.P. Church, and Rev. Mr. Fowler of the Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
