Irvin Joseph Amick, 73, of 305 Temple St. died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in his residence after an extended illness.

Amick, born Feb. 10, 1885 at Snow Hill in Nicholas County, was son of the late Joseph J. and Algenora Nutter Amick.

He was a member of the Methodist Temple, Men's Bible Class, and the Methodist Men's Club.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lenora Wilma Amick; two
sons, Dana Kyle of Charleston, and James Irvin of Beckley; one stepson, William Oris Phillips of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Noah J. Amick of Sand Fork, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Shawver of Summersville, Mrs. Dessie Neff of Glenville, and Mrs. Russle O'Dell of Bruce; and eight grandchildren.
