Oscar C. Sullivan, 95, of Eaton, Colorado died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 at Fairacres Manor, Greeley, Colorado.

Mr. Sullivan was born August 28, 1907 in Blairsville, GA, to Richard Barney and Randi (Hood) Sullivan.

On Dec. 11, 1927, he married Hazel Homes in Eaton. She died March 21, 1994.

Mr. Sullivan's mother died when he was 5 years old. He was raised by his stepmother, Florida (Hood) Sullivan. He attended school in Union County, GA and come to Colorado at the age of 17 with $2 in his pocket. He farmed in the Eaton area with the exception of three years when farmed near Wiggins. He raised hogs, sheep, beef cattle, dairy cattle, corn, potatoes, sugar beets, pinto beans and alfalfa.

Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Eaton Baptist Church.

Survivors are five sons; three sisters; three brothers; 15 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

An infant daughter; two sons, Richard and Clyde; three sisters, Myrtle Josey, Elma Winn and Rosalee Rexford; and five brothers, Marion, Home, J. Walter, John and Hubert (Wiley) are deceased.

Interment will be in the Eaton Cemetery.
