Monday morning.
Mr. Browne, who died Sunday,
September 21, as a result of .injuries
received in an automobile
accident on September 14 in Key
West, Fla., was brought to Waterville,
arriving last Friday. The
body, escorted by Chief Quartermaster
Gerald O. Smith, a close
friend, was met by a detail, composed
of Edward Ruane; Anthony
Langone, Francis Kelley. Harold
F. Welch and Clement Cowen,
who escorted him to the home of
his brother, Thurston & Browne.
From there the funeral was held
at 9 a. m. Monday and from St.
Bernard's Church at 9:30, where
a requiem high Mass was celebrated
by the Rev. Roy B. Morphy
of the Church of Corpus Christi,
Rochester. .The Rev; John L.
Powers, pastor of St Bernard's
was in the sanctuary. Interment
was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
