Noble Dugan "Duge" Scroggins was the 4th child of James and Iva Scroggins. During his lifetime he lived in several towns around northeast Texas, Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory (Oklahoma), Nebraska, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Duge served in World War I. His family, parents and siblings, were living in Irene, South Dakota at that time.

On December 20, 1925 Duge married Amelia McCallister in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together they had one son, Chester G. Scroggins. Duge and Amelia parted ways after a few years of marriage.

On January 8th, 1924 Duge married Cora Ethel Akers in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Together they had: Clara Lee, Noble Dugan, Cleo Patricia, James Frederick, Rebia, Vera Vayne, Ernest, Ethel Joyce, Willie May, Thomas Edward, and "baby" Scroggins.

Cora passed in 1959. Duge married Mary Magdalene Lam on March 25, 1966 in Kaufman, Texas. A few years later he married Gladys Dura Goodson April 19, 1968 in Smith, Texas.

Duge loved his Scroggins roots and his family. He supported his sister, Loma Scroggins Patton, with her many Scroggins family reunions.
