THE MORNING POST, Martinsville, Va., Mon., Feb. 15, 1937, p. 2, col. 1 [edited].
Mrs. Mollie Sue Stegall, wife of Tom W. Stegall, Starling Avenue, died of Tuberculosis Sunday morning at the home afer an illness of three weeks. She had been brought home from a Martinsville hospital several days before her death. She suffered ill health for two years.
She had been a resident of Henry County for many years and was born in the county. She was 67 years old.
She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Bettie Lee, Sallie Monnie and Susie; and by two sons, Tommie Joe of Axton and Willie Ben. of Martinsville. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the home.

The paper dated Feb. 16, p. 2, col. 8, said that burial was made in the family burial ground near Irisburg. Pall bearers were grandchildren of the deceased: Harry Stegall, Everett Stegall, Gus Ashworth, Foster Sites, F. D. Eures, B. F. Wheeler, Allen Bondurant and Mrs. W. D. Nunn.

Her parents are Joseph Henry Eggleston, Sr (1831-1896) and Sarah Lou "Sallie" Odle (1833-1919).
All of the early census records of her father, Joseph, spell his name as Eggleton, whereas, the lengthy newspaper items of her mother, Sallie, spell her name as Eggleston.
Her known siblings are: Sarah Jane (abt 1851), Elizabeth (abt 1854), Thomas Flournoy (abt 1856), George King (2/1858), Joseph Henry, Jr. (3/1861), Gay F., (3/1861)(twins), Sallie Lou (abt 1864), William W. (abt 1867), John C. (abt 1871), and Benjamin (abt 1876).
