Ms. Eula Dee Walker

Ms. Eula Dee Walker of Slocomb went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at her home. She was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010 in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Jeremy McDaniel and Rev. Steve Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Pondtown United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Edward Strickland, 1656 Chipola Road, Slocomb.

Ms. Walker was born on September 17, 1933 in Geneva County, AL to the late Emmitt Lee and Vera Ayers Yeomans. She was the second born child of ten siblings. She was a woman of many talents. She worked as a nurse, waitress and cook but her favorite job was being a mother. Fishing was her favorite pastime and she loved to be outdoors working in the garden, in her flowerbeds or cutting grass. She was very strong willed, outspoken, independent and a woman of integrity; she was also a loving Mother, Grandmother and MeMaw.
