Louise Reeson Oppy Rhodes, 92, of Crawfordsville, died at 11:06 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the Lane House Nursing Home.
She was born July 9, 1918 in Odell to the late Curtis Wesley and Pearl Lovall-Burcham Reesor. She first married Leland Edward Oppy in 1936. He died in 1953. She then married Harold "Dusty" Rhodes Sr. in 1973. He died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by 3 infant daughters; a granddaughter, Lana Jo Oppy Pate and great-granddaughter, Ava Michele Montana.
Surviving are four sons, Jim Oppy (wife: Gail) of Port Republic, Va., Larry Oppy (wife: Rose) of Danville, Mike Oppy (wife: Lou) of Avon and Frank Oppy (companion: Rudy Shimp) of Indianapolis; an adopted daughter, Nancy Whitehead-Holladay (husband: Don) of Attica; a sister, Pauline Buck of Lafayette; 6 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
