Iva Lea Hill, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at St. Bernards Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
She was born April 3, 1923, to the late Vernon and Floy Montgomery Grimes.
She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church at Hargraves Corner (Rector) and a resident of Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City at the time of her death. She was active in her community and church during her life.
Preceding Iva in death were her husband, Denzil H. Hill; a daughter, Nelda Sue Hill; a son, Eddie Hill; a granddaughter, Colette Beck; and one brother, J.E. Grimes.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Sherry Bullard and James "Jim" of Kennett, Mo., Patricia White and Tim of Rector, and Tammie Smith and Jimmie of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Kim Nordmeyer and Patrick of Rector, Melanie Bullard Todd and Mike of Como, Miss., Brandy Hill Smart and Shannon of Piggott, and Lindsey Ingram White of Rector; nine bonus grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and two sisters and their husbands, Anna Dean Glover and Junior of Guy, and Sue Dawson and Delbert of Mayflower; four brothers, Charles Grimes and Peggy of Rector, Bud Grimes and Pid of Conway, Don Grimes and Paulette of Piggott, and Larry Grimes and Ann of Guy; along with a host other relatives and friends.
Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
