James Robert "Jim" Phelps, 61 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, November 12th, 2010 at his residence after a long illness.
Jim was born in Bethel, Ohio on February 5th, 1949, son of the late Robert Lee Phelps and Betty Jane Whitaker Phelps. He was a tool & dye maker, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jim was survived by two sons, Robert "B.J." (and Samantha) Phelps and Gary (and Dawn) McClure; one daughter, Tracy (and Eddie) Bullock; four grandchildren, Cameron Bullock, Zachary Bullock, Gary William McClure and Alyssa Rashae Phelps; one brother, Benny Lee (and Linda) Phelps; and many nieces and nephews; his beloved ex-wife, Clema Burton; one special nephew, Jimbo Phelps; a very special friend, Robert "Rob" New; and many others who miss him very much and mourn his passing.
Visitations were held after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Eden Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
