Francis Lynn Barber passed away November 11, 2010.

He was born April 23, 1917 in Tooele to Ella Lee and Francis John Barber.

He married Dixie Jean Thomas, then served in the Navy from 1943 – 1945. Lynn and Dixie lived in Caracas, Venezuela where he worked for eleven years.

Upon their return to Salt Lake City, he was employed by the Tooele Army Depot as an engineer for the rest of his career.

He loved riding his horses with his sweetheart, going to the cabin with his extended family, lunches with his daughters and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Since the passing of his sweetheart, he has been living with his granddaughter Gina and husband Paul and their family who have lovingly opened their home and their hearts to him for the past sixteen years.

He is survived by his daughters, Sue Pease (Delmar) and Leigh Barber (Gary Barrus), ten grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, his favorite and most lovable cat, Tiger and granddoggies, Mrs. Lopez and Mr. Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter who died at birth and all eight of his siblings.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 16th at 11:00 and be preceded by a viewing one hour prior to the service at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City.
