Funeral services for Mr. Fred Fox, who died recently, were held at the Sacred Heart Church. Rev. J. J. Salentin officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

He was born in Columbus, May 30, 1850. In 1879 he married Margaret Klubertanz, who survives him.

Eight children were born, all of whom are living. They are Mrs. Frank Maertz of Hampden, Mrs. Clara Fahrenkopf and Mrs. Henry Shroud of Bristol, Mrs. Alvin Virchow of this village, Mrs. Joseph Warnke of Wilton, ND, Felix of Randalph, and Clarence and Henry of Bristol. Four brothers also survive him, Adam of Waterloo, IA, John of Osage, lA, and Frank of Columbus.

Fred Fox passed away at his home in this village on Sunday evening, January 30 at the age of 70 years and 8 months after an illness of a few weeks. The cause of his death being pneumonia and erysipelas.

He was born May 30, 1850 in the Township of Columbus and lived there until 1896 when he moved to Bristol, where he lived until 1914 when he came to this village to make his home. He was united in marriage to Margaret Klubertanz on May 20, 1879 at East Bristol.

To this union were born 8 children, all of whom are living. Mrs. Clara Fahrenkopf of Bristol, Mrs. Frank Maertz of Hampden, Mrs. Henry Schroud of Bristol, Mrs. Joseph Warnka of Wilton, ND, Mrs. Alvin Virchow of Sun Prairie, Henry and Clarence of Bristol and Felix of Randolph. All of the children were present at the funeral. Mr. Fox was one of a family of 8 of whom 4 brthers are living. They are Adam of Waterloo, IA, John of Osage, IA, Mike of Albany, MN, and Frank of Columbus. Two sisters, Mrs. Dan Sessing and Mrs. Anton Finger, preceded him in death. A remarkable incident in connection with his demise was the death of his brother, Valentine at Beaver Dam at about the same hour, of a lingering illness and pneumonia.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Sacred Hearts Church, with Rev. J. J. Salentin officiating. Interment was made in Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
