He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle Mae Brooks, Rising Sun; 4 sons, Jess, North East, Frank, Rising Sun, Garmon, Abingdon, Md., and Carl Brooks, Glen Burnie, Md.; 9 daughters, Mrs. Martha Brock and Mrs. Ruth Kline, both of North East, Mrs. Della Smith and Mrs. Helen Brown, both of Elkton, Mrs. Ellen Goodyear and Mrs. Ann Hammer, both of Rising Sun, Mrs. Goldie Crouse, Forest Hill, Md., Mrs. Minnie Delp, Whiteford, Md., and Mrs. Betty Younger, Aberdeen, Md.; 40 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Claude McKinney and the Rev. Levi Howell officiated at the funeral service Wednesday, November 2, at 2 p.m., at Hicks Home for Funerals, Elkton.
Interment was in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton.
