He had been brought home to Canadian two weeks ago from Smith's Rest Home at Wellington, where he had been a patient for the past eighteen months…the first of Canadian's oldsters to take advantage of the recent designation of a portion of the County Hospital as an approved Convalescent Home facility.

Funeral Services were at the Stickley Funeral Chapel. Rev. Lee Crouch, minister of the First Methodist Church, was in charge. Burial was in the Canadian Cemetery.

Julius Caesar BORN was born May 24, 1879 in Tennessee. He came to Canadian as a young man in 1897, and had lived in Canadian since that time.

Prior to his forced retirement a year and a half ago, he had lived in and operated the Main Street Variety Store which he opened on March 06, 1905. It was Canadian's oldest business under one management.
