Ruth Carolyn Stevenson, 59, Springfield, died at 10:47 a.m. Friday at her residence after a short illness.
A resident of Springfield for the past 10 years, she was a member of the Lutheran church and lad been a saleslady for the J.C. Penny Co. for the last five years.
Survivors include, Jim Gates, a devoted friend and companion; three daughters, Killi Morris, Lebanon, Mo., and Kimberly Gray and Karen Kearbey, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one son, Gregory Bryant Shelton, Sterling, Va.; her mother, Mrs. Rosetta Bryant, Springfield; one brother, William C. Bryant, Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Klingner Chapel with the Rev. Larry Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery.
