Florence M. Kirchhoff Schaefer formerly of Arlington Heights
Services for Florence M. Kirchhoff Schaefer, 84, of Delray Beach, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Del Lago Funeral Home, 131 S. Lakeside Drive, Lake Worth, Fla.
Mrs. Schaefer passed away Friday, May 5, 2000, of Parkinson's Disease. Interment will be in Delray Beach Cemetery.
Florence was a 5th generation member of the Henry Busse family, who were pioneers of the cities of Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and prior to moving to Florida, was active in Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, George Schaefer; son William G. (Janice) Schaefer; daughter, Jane Schaefer Hays Solomon; grandchildren, James Hays III (Jonti), Jennifer L. Hays, Jack W. (Tammi) Hays; Chadd W. Schaefer; Scott W. Schaefer, and Gregg W. Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Jason Hays, Jackson Hays, Zoe Lee Hays and Jade Hays; brothers, Herbert W. (Lillian L.) Kirchhoff and Elmer L. (Ruth A.) Kirchhoff; and sisters, Leona L. Kirchhoff Harth and Dorothy J. Kirchhoff (Charles T.) Ringstrand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Oldenburg Kirchhoff; and brother-in-law, Robert W. Harth.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
