Mrs. Frances Brodie Thomasson, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. T. Franklin, Monday evening, following several week's illness.
Mrs. Thomasson was the daughter of Wilsie and Nancy Bobbitt Brodie of Franklin County.
She was united in marriage to Michael Thomasson in September 1859. She was the mother of nine children, two of which died in infancy. Mrs. Thomasson was preceded to the grave by her husband twenty-five years ago, and a daughter in 1926.
Mrs. Thomasson lived to the ripe old age of 93. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. G. T. Franklin, for several years prior to the death. Funeral services were held at the Franklin home Tuesday. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Martinsville.
Surviving are the following children: Homer of Mt. Airy, N.C., Jesse of New Berry, Florida, G. H. Thomasson of Ferndale, Maryland, Mrs. Althea Robertson of Orlando, Florida, Mrs. Sarah C. Abercrombie of Tucker, Georgia, and Mrs. Belle Franklin of Bassett.
