Viola F. Grenier, 87, Brainerd, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
She was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Palisade, Mont., to Fred and Kathryn (Blades) Rosenkranz. She worked as a self-employed housekeeper.
Survivors include six daughters, Garnet Rehberger and Bonnie Berndt, both of Baxter, Cleo Beach, Brainerd, Donna Jean Visser, Burney, Calif., Brenda Evans, Elk River, Vickie Jordan, Grand Rapids; three sons, Jack Borders, Baxter, Rodney Borders, Brainerd, Junior Borders, Pillager; 65 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother Debere Rosenkranz, Edina; and a sister, Buelah Wilson, Duluth.
Her husbands, Chancy "Pat" Borders and Archie Grenier; a son, Duane; a daughter, Patricia DeWolf; a brother, Lloyd; and two sisters, Lois Benton and Elsie Mass, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
