Services for Laura A. Kirchhoff (nee Breuscher), 84, will be held at ll a.m. Wednesday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. 855 Lee St., Des Plaines. Bom Oct. 13, 1915, in Des Plaines, she died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Northwest Continuing Care Center. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Prospect. A homemaker, she was employed for 13 years at Walgreens in Des Plaines and for 7 years at Schellin’s Bakery in Des Plaines. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Women’s Club. Laura loved people and people loved her - she always wore a smile. She was the wife of the late Kurt H.; aunt of Judith Kirchhoff of Palatine, Elizabeth (William) Mittel of Florida, Vaughn Kirchhoff of Iowa City and Edmond (Frances) Kirchhoff of Miami, Fla.; cousin of Marge (Stanley) Stockton of Des Plaines; aunt of many nieces and nephews; and sister of the late William Breuscher Jr., the late Emily (Walter) Kirchhoff of Madison, Wise., the late Edmund (Carolyn) Kirchhoff of Palatine and Adeline (Dr. Laurence) Gaebe. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines, and from 10 a m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.
