LONGS | Mrs. Eunice Lee Graham Cox, 87, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at her home following an illness.

Mrs. Cox was born on July 3, 1921 in Green Sea, South Carolina, to Mr. Sumpter Marion Graham and Mrs. Lola Dell Harrelson Graham.

Mrs. Cox was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who instilled in her children the tremendous importance of higher education. She was a member of the Buck Creek Baptist Church and loved traveling, having visited many foreign countries throughout her lifetime.

Survivors include her four daughters, Linda McNish of Sunset Beach, N.C., Peggy Self of Kitty Hawk, N.C., Judy Murray and husband, Tom, of Moncks Corner, and Janet Lampson and husband, Jim, of Greer; her four sons, Norman Cox, and wife, Patti, of Greenville, Wayne Cox and wife, Brenda, of Longs, Dean Cox and wife, Sandra, of Alexandria, Va., and Dennis Cox of Roanoke, Va.; her three brothers, Walin Graham and wife, Mildred, of Loris, Eldon Graham and wife, Lillie Mae, of Loris, and Eugene Graham and wife, Lucille, of Loris; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her husband, Augustus Philip Cox; one son, Edwin Joel Cox; five brothers, Adolphus, Dale, Austin, Braxton, and Herman Graham; and one sister, Ruby Beaver.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2008 in Buck Creek Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor Larry Allen will officiate services.
