Mildred Elizabeth Kiser, age 89, former longtime resident of Okmulgee, passed away in Claremore, Oklahoma on Thursday, November 11, 2010. She was born May 16, 1921 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Agrippa Wesley Godwin and Amy Edith (Smith) Godwin. She married her husband of 52 years, Delmer George Kiser on May 18, 1942 in Okmulgee. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry Lynn Kiser and three brothers, Lloyd Godwin, Leman Godwin and Gilbert Godwin. Mildred was a homemaker, Red Cross volunteer and member of the Baptist faith. She was a gentle, loving woman who was the "glue" of her entire family and a woman who knew what "welcome" truly meant. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 15, 2010 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00PM-6:00 PM.
