COOKEVILLE – Hugh S. Ramsey, retired factory worker and resident of 45 Wedgewood Ave., Cookeville, died Saturday (Sept. 24, 1983) at Cookeville General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Ramsey are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Whitson Funeral home, with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery. He was 75.
A native of Jackson County, son of the late Bailey D. and Julia Butler Ramsey, he was retired from work with the ExCello Corp. in Michigan and was a veteran of World War II.
His immediate family includes his widow, Sally Duke Ramsey; two brothers, L. B. Ramsey Sr. of Cookeville and Lester Ramsey of Gainesboro; and a sister, Bessie Lee, of Gainesboro.
