Armstrong – Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Clara Butcher, 78, Armstrong, were held 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating and burial at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Thursday [January 1, 1976] night at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. Butcher was born Jan. 27, 1897 at Hardin County to John and Mary Luscombe Craig and was educated in Armstrong. She was married to Samuel Butcher May 5, 1921 at Armstrong and lived most of her life in the Armstrong area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Verle Hanson, Mason City; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Craig, Dolliver; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Hansow, Miami Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
