He was born Oct. 15, 1954, in Cleveland and moved to Lorain a year later and to Elyria in 1975.
Adler worked the last three years as a self-employed home-delivery contractor for Federal Express in Old Brooklyn.
He enjoyed car shows and collected antique cars.
Survivors include his son, Larry Adler, of Elyria; daughter, Laura Kmitt of Elyria; his longtime companion, Pamela Webb; brothers Ronald Adler of Mentor and Dennis Adler of Chardon; sisters Jacqueline Grizzell and Judy Mercurio, both of Lorain; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Adler in 1989 and Jean (nee Narewski) Adler in 1990; and brother, Bobby, in 1953.
Friends may call Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Art Conrad, pastor of Abbe Road Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
