Libby met her first love and future husband, Odos C. Cox at an ice cream social at the local Nazarene Church. They married on July 2, 1940 and celebrated 54 happy years together and always said that they were each other's best friends. Libby was happiest when she was teaching Sunday school and singing in the church choir at the Akron Baptist Temple, baking, and keeping an immaculate home.
Libby was preceded in death by parents, Curtis R. Brown and Matilda (Watts) Brown; her beloved husband, Odos; siblings, Carl Brown, Linton Brown, Curtis Brown, and Ethel Lee Shelkofsky; and cousin and friend, Selma Forshee."
