COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Mary Alice Blair, 85, of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, February 28, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 39
p.m. today.

Mrs. Blair died Monday, February 25, 2002, at Bethesda Health Care Center.

A native of Jackson County, she was born on March 28, 1916, to the late Andrew and Victoria Jared Holmes.

Mrs. Blair was a homemaker and a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Her family includes a daughter, Mary Cowan of Cookeville; a brother, Garner Holmes of Cookeville; five sisters, Maude Weishaupt and Jennie Butler, both of Cookeville, Lurlene Higgenbothom of Royal Oak,
Mich., Francis Leftwich of Madison Heights, Mich., and Anna Lee Brown of Baxter; two grandchildren, Pam Roberts and Darryl Cowan, both of Cookeville; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Becca
Cowan, Sarah and Rachel Roberts.

Revs. Sterl Paramore and John Davis will officiate at the services.
