She lived in Redwood Valley, California 95470 before she moved to Jonestown, Guyana where she lived in Troolie 6. She was a Registered nurse and a state health inspector of nursing homes in California. In Jonestown, she ran the children's nursery and was on the Jonestown Medical committee. Daughter of Walter and Charlotte Baldwin of Richmond, Indiana. She was married to Rev. James Warren Jones Jr. who also died in Jonestown. Her adopted daughter from South Korea, Stephanie Jones died in 1959 in a tragic car accident. Her other adopted daughter from South Korea, Suzanne Jones, married Mike Cartmell and defected from the People's Temple in 1975 and died of cancer in 2006. Her adopted daughter, Agnes Paulette Jones died in Jonestown. Her only natural child, Stephan Gandhi Jones and two adopted sons, Jimmy Jones, Jr. aka James Warren Jones, Jr and Timothy Tupper Glen Jones were both in Georgetown, Guyana for a basketball game representing Jonestown on November 18, 1978. They would survive and both return home to California. She and Jim were the first caucasian couple in Indiana to adopt an African American child which they named James Warren Jones Jr. who survived them. Her adopted son, Lew Eric Jones and her grandchildren, Billy Jones aka William Dillon Dean, Billie Jones; Jimbo Jones aka James Arthur Jones, James Arthur Bishop; Stephanie Jones aka Stephanie Lynn Bishop; and Michael Ray Jones all died in Jonestown, Guyana as well. Her parents had visited their daughter in Jonestown in October 1978. She is survived also by her grandchildren from Stephan and Jim Jr. including a basketball player for the University of San Diego.
